I HATE the word "trap", but in this gm I do believe the influence is to take St. And given the talent level they would seem a natural pk. But 7.5, should be more. St has a gm w/huge nat`l implications on deck @ Oh St., and tho I`m tempted to buy the hook I hesitate. Any thoughts from u guys?
Hope all is well w/you. I agree on the # I`d buy it to 7. Unfortunately it`s not Chuck I worry about it`s those 19 & 20 yr old kids. I bet NIU using the "look ahead" factor and I`m a little leary here. Having said that I`m going to lay the # as soon as I`m thru posting. Hi scorng I think. LOL

Of course they are looking ahead to Ohio St.
There is no way NC State players are focusing all thier attention on Wake.
They have a chance to knock off the defending champs next week and if you are on the team and have aspirations of a national championship you need to beat Ohio St. not Wake Forest.
Even if they lose to Wake and then beat Ohio St.they still are in the title hunt.
Beating Wake and losing to Ohio St. does nothing to help their title hopes.
Take Wake +7.5

I POSTEDa call on Wake last week over BC.
I think you take one of the most powerful offenses in the nation w/ Rivers and company and lay the points. I agree it should be higher, but maybe, just maybe this is a case of not being able to see the forest through the trees!

BC out yarded Wake last week big time.
Turnovers and special teams became an issue.
The line tells me NC ST. big...but I am afraid thats what everyone is saying.

Silver7 that is a great bet. My thought is everyone is thinking to much about this game. I think Panther said it best-When he said "Would you lay Wake if they were playing Fla. St with the same line". I think N.C State for now has leaped Fla. St. My bet is on N.C. State!

let's get a few things straight -- bc lost to wake, but had a lot more total yards, nearly doubled their 1st d, and committed three costly turnovers.
i agree with panther chuck is much too sharp to have any of his players thinking about next week; if their is a wiff of ohio state -- they'd regret it dearly in laps this week.
silver, i liked your nui pick, but there was a lot more to that game than the terps looking past them (mcbrien didn't practice much that week -- and he sucks anyhow, nui treated it as if it were their super bowl, and the terps o is lost w/out perry, among others). therefore, i don't find it anagulous to this game.
the only thing that stops the pack this week is possible over-confidence, and rivers possibley getting frustrated and forcing things.

"look ahead" is always a factor even in the NFL. It`s how the coach addresses the problem & the leadership on the tm, whether it has an adverse affect. Of course there were other elements involved in the upset of MD, as there will be here. But it`s something I always take into consideration. As I said moot now as I took the Pack.
